The Mainstream Music Lover is the music fan that is on top of the music trends and is listening to the latest releases from their favorite artists. They are passionate about their top artists and look forward to sharing their Spotify Wrapped statistics come December. They discover what’s trending through TikTok, their preferred music streaming app, or through friends. Although they love music and a variety of artists as they come and go, the lyrics of the songs aren’t always understood. Songs that reflect Black culture and the impact of Black History today are largely missed by this audience, which presents an opportunity for them to learn how to listen.
